Heartbeat

Hey all!

Today was our first visit to the doctor and it went pretty well.  The highlight was hearing the baby's heartbeat for the first time!  The nurse put the Doppler thingy on my stomach, and as soon as it hit the skin, BOOM!  There was the heartbeat, loud and clear.  Steve was in the room with me, and his eyes just got really big and he said, "That's amazing!"

I was thrilled, of course.  I asked, "Are you sure it's the baby's heartbeat and not some residual noise going on in my uterus?"  The nurse assured me it was the baby.  That was all I needed to hear!  I could have listened to it for hours. :)  But the 1 minute I got to hear it was nice enough.
