Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Yesterday was such a beautiful wintery day to go out for a hike.  So, Steve and I packed up the dogs and took a ride up to Moraine State Park.  For those of you who have never taken the time to go, you need to do it!  This state park is so peaceful and pristine.  There are tons of trails to go hiking on and in the summer a lake to go swimming and boating in.  It's not far from Grove City, off of Interstate 79.

Anywho, here are some pretty shots I took with the cam.
Steve way ahead... as usual. :)

Love this shot of the woods!
Steve found a branch to swing on.

Forever a kid. :)
Self portrait as I walk as fast as I can to keep up.
After we hiked, we stopped at one of my favorite restaurants- The Log Cabin Inn in Harmony, PA!  It was nice to have a quiet meal together before the family madness of Christmas commences.

We are heading up to Penn State in a few days to visit family for the holidays.  Once we get back home from our visit, I will be rushing back to work at the Pet Resort (we're slammed for Christmas!!!) and then to celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our families.  This time of year is inevitably crazy.  It will be nice to see family though!

Oh, and a quick shout out to my sister-in-law, Erin.  She just graduated from Pitt with her Masters in Education.  We are all so proud of her!

I'll hopefully be able to blog again before Christmas.  If not, Merry Christmas everyone!

Peacing out,
Nikki
