The Mad Dash Before Evan's Arrival

Hey all!

So, our baby's arrival (yes, we've settled on the name Evan) is right around the corner, and we are busy prepping things around the house before he comes.

Steve is working on our kitchen back splash today...

We were originally thinking he would put the back splash up after Evan's arrival, but we are glad he is doing it before Evan comes along.  It's not exactly the cleanest home improvement task to do. :)

As for the baby's arrival and his accommodations, we are just about done with all of the finishing touches of Evan's room.  Check it out.

I'm really happy with his room.  I didn't want it to look to baby-ish since I will be spending a lot of time in there, as well.  I'm a fan of neutral, calming colors, so that is what I decided to stick with for the most part.  And as you can see, the majority "theme" of his room is airplanes.  Very cute!

As for me, I'm hanging in there.  Steve has been an excellent support system thus far.  He is very attentive and sympathetic.  Anytime I ask for a back rub or anything at all, he is right there to help out!

I'm in the phase right now where it is difficult to get comfortable no matter what I do.  It's temporary, but no fun.

As for the dogs, they are handling things well. :)
