Must...Keep...Painting

Despite the weather being really craptastic outside, I'm having a pretty good, productive Friday so far.

I've managed to paint 2 paintings in about a day and half's time.  Here they are.

Acadia National Park Trail

Summerville Lake Cliffsides

Summerville Lake (WV) was painted from memory.  Acadia National Park Trail was from a picture Steve took when we visited Maine in October 2009.  Here's the picture I used as inspiration.

The trail in my painting is facing the other way, but that is because I used an imprint I made for my painting.  My paintings are always mirror images from the photograph/my memory! :)  I didn't include the leaves because I liked the trail as it was by itself.  I guess I cheated, but oh well!

Quick note: I'll be posting these recent paintings soon under My Artwork soon.  I need to wrap them in frames first.

Steve finished putting the tile floor in the laundry room.  Check it out!

Thank...GOD
We're going to be working on that room the rest of the day.  I need to paint it, and Steve still needs to put up the trim.  It's nice having him home for the next few days, working on our house! :)

This weekend is supposed to be beautiful, and I can hardly wait!  I'm sure I'll be posting again soon.

Have a great weekend!
Nikki
